Okay! I said that i would post braƱa photos!
These are photos of La Falguera, one of the few summer braƱas that remains inhabited. Many of the residents of La Falguera were part of the Vaqueiro minority that practiced arrierĆa, transport of goods by mule, and they specifically transported grains from León to southwestern Asturias.
The second is Veigas. It is technically not a braƱa, it is head of the parish but it appears that all of the xaldo residents have left and all the residents today are Vaqueiros who have built some Vaqueiro structures. The xaldos left, looking for better economic prospects but the Vaqueiros, who have an ancestral connection to the land, their braƱas in the mountains directly above Veigas, moved into Veigas to be close to them.
The thatched homes are Vaqueiro architecture called teitus, today they are mostly used for storage.

VACACIONES VERANO 2018.
