Hal getting adopted by the Wayne because his parents were abusive (Make them rly horrible here) so Martha and Thomas on vacation, seeing that poor kid bruised up and without family after his parents got arrested and decided to take him in. (Bruce seem to also like Hal.)
Later on, the whole murder mess but this time Bruce is not alone, except Hal and him part ways because their grief is different. Flash forward to Justice league being created, Hal wondering who is that weird guy dress as a bat and Bruce wondering who is that annoying and careless Green lantern.

Him calling out Hal name in his normal voice and having Hal wonder how did that Batman knows his name until something click in his mind, an habit Bruce had, the way he call out his name.
Yea they just blink at each others. So many years went by. Bruce immediately stop everything out of guilt. Hal feels offended but understand.
