Once upon a time during the days of old, an angel with dark feathers cursed a human child, and ever since, black wings have become a symbol of the Fallen—angels who curse newborns instead of blessing them.

Burdened with ebony feathers, Castiel has never tried to Bless a child. He knows humans will fear him. But with a push from Gabriel, Castiel attends his first Blessing, and everything goes exactly as he suspected—the humans believe he is there to curse the child. But brave little Dean Winchester begs to have Castiel curse him instead of his baby brother. Although well-intended, Castiel bestows Dean with a forbidden gift.

In doing this, he forever alters Dean’s timeline.

On May 18th, 2017, Dean Winchester’s life completely changed. Worst of all, and most difficult to make sense of, Dean Winchester watched his best friend collapse to the ground, dead, in an explosion of light and singed wings painted across the dirt.

Now, just one week later, he and Sam still grieve their losses and must face their next greatest task; parenting the antichrist.
