Solomon's Temple, known also as the First Temple, according to the Hebrew Bible, this temple was first built in the fourth year of King Solomon’s era (around 970 BCE). Solomon's Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE. The Bible's description of this first temple suggests that the inside ceiling was 180 feet long, 90 feet wide, and 50 feet high. When the Temple was completed, King Solomon inaugurated it with prayer.
