This last one is a DBD AU inspired by agent darkfest.
Disclaimer: I have never played DBD and know only the basics of its lore, so if things are wrong or incorrect forgive me lol. I just saw agent's designs and my brain went ham.
You are new to the Entity's realm, first meeting Sunspot, who thinks they're doing right by you by trying to give you a gentle mercy kill and keep you. He's been the most repulsed by all the murder stuff and basically banished himself outside the estate grounds. Despite his efforts, you still manage to slip away.
The next is Misuta, though only briefly, the shinigami chasing you through the gardens before you burrow your way into the basement. Sunflower and Noon's domains. You wander carefully through Sunflower's studio first, encountering frozen victims. The encounter happens when you stumble across Sunflower happily humming, playing around with his equipment, before picking up on the slightest hitch of breath. You have to avoid the camera flash to escape him, all while he sweetly asks for your picture, is all~
Next is Noon, alerted by a brush against his silks when you cringe at the hanging victims in horror. You barely manage to slip away from him, your pocket knife your savior. You get out of his area, only to get immediately chased by Ruin bursting through a door at the end of the hallway. You book it upstairs and hide, waiting til all is quiet before daring to check and emerge.
Your next big battle comes from Fool, scurrying about the dining room area, which links to the ballroom and its attached theater.
Your presence has quite intrigued him the most, the residents all fairly aware of you running around and somehow getting away every time. Freeing yourself from the handsy maestro is a matter of thinking on your feet, lighting curtains ablaze with a candle, which definitely distracts him. Getting outside while a part of the ballroom burns, this is your first concrete run in with Nova, which leads to the second meeting with Misuta. You have to evade both to get back inside, unable to make a break for the forest, and doubting that would be a good idea in the first place with them both around.
You uncover a long disused door along the outer wall that lets you slip into the servant's passageways. All seems to finally calm down for the moment, nobody popping up when you venture into a bedroom and blockade it to give yourself time to think, plopping onto the very dusty abandoned bed.
Of course, you're utterly exhausted, hurt, terrified, and running on fumes, so you pass the fuck out.
Unfortunately, sleep offers no peace, pursued by Eclipse and literally running straight into Sandman. Freeing yourself from the dream entities is pure dumb luck and sheer willpower, tumbling down into the darkness, resulting in you jolting awake and flying up in bed.
Far from feeling rested, but not daring to go back to sleep, you adventure around the passages a bit more in hopes of finding answers and a possible escape.
What you instead witness is the residents gathered in the main entrance, holding a meeting to discuss your trespass, excluding Sunspot. This is when Sombra and Sol arrive, summoned from their normal hunts outside the estate grounds. Sol is not exactly pleased, but Sombra appears fairly excited, especially after learning you slipped away from even Eclipse and Sandman. He is also acutely aware of being watched, calling out to you, requesting you make it just as fun for him.
Not wanting to risk getting caught then and there, you retreat deeper into the passageways.
Sadly, your hiding place doesn't stay safe for long, Ruin and Nova sent to check any and all tunnels that they know about.
From this point, it becomes an increasingly deadly game of cat and mouse, no quite telling which killer you'll encounter around the corner. Sombra eagerly hunts for your head, while Sol uses his doll to ensnare you every time you get close, your only path to break free cutting into your palm or biting your cheek hard enough to bleed. Sunspot makes more appearances after learning about your avoidance of death in hopes of you accepting his 'help', which you adamantly refuse.
Throughout the sequence of events, you come across items and writing left by both the bots (in their case also sometimes witnessing triggered cutscenes) and previous victims describing this realm and how it works, including potential ways you might somehow get yourself, and everyone else, free. After all, despite how easily some of them seem to slip into the role of killers, they are equally as trapped here, and some of the stuff you find/see suggests that none of them are as enthused as they appear.
