hilariously, emerson was the short twin. shorter than both his brother and their father. so he nods, "yeah, hughie's over 6'," there'd been a very short period when they'd been the same height, but then somewhere in their teens, hughie had rocketed upwards like a skyscraper. had hannah been joking? almost definitely. was bear considering the offer nonetheless? almost definitely. as knees were pulled closer to his chest, bear dared to released the tattered remains of his baby blanket ( that which had long ago become a bracelet ) from where it had been pinned between his lips for the better part of an hour as he quietly sobbed. ❛ ...why outback? ❜ he asked after wiping the snot from his nose, as if THAT was the strangest thing the other had said.

“Come on, Eddie! Why do you still believe in that Netherworld stuff? You know it’s not REAL, right?” Otto gave a quick laugh and glided down the halfpipe at the local skatepark. Eddie stiffened up a bit, IRRITATED by Otto’s comment. Of course, the Netherworld was an actual place. He may have not seen it in real life, but Eddie BELIEVED fully.
“You deny the existence of the darkness!?” Eddie exclaimed in that same deep voice he’s produced throughout the years. “Just because a mere light citizen has no belief in the Netherworld doesn’t mean it’s NONEXISTENT!” the prince added. “I already gave up my mask and cloak! What more do you people want from me!” Eddie gruffly stated.
“What?—Whatever, dude!” Otto responded, a bit freaked out as he skated away.
Still annoyed, the prince watched them take off. He hated when anyone RIDICULED him about still being obsessive over the Netherworld. All because they couldn’t grasp his concept of the dark forces.
Eddie started prepping himself to shred the pipe beneath his feet, but he needed to calm down. The teen didn’t realise his state of CURRENT EMOTIONS from the conversation. Once shifting his body weight on the skateboard, Eddie tumbled downward in an unpleasant position; causing his entire body terrible PAIN as it contacted with the ramp’s surface. “Agh...,” Eddie whimpered quietly.

Murder is not a uniquely human thing, though they seem to be the ones who have mastered the art of it. The Grim Reaper doesn’t enjoy it himself, being surrounded by death all the time ( he does not like to let his work life bleed into his hobbies ) but that doesn’t mean he can’t appreciate a well-executed execution every once in a while. Though Death is not required to appear personally to each & every human departure, often he will find himself coming back if there is a particular trend. HANNAH MATTHEWS is this latest trend; always responsible for the murder & uniquely interesting in a way that most regular murderers aren’t. She radiates life & light, and Death does the exact opposite. He’s fascinated. Something created from life itself bringing about death is so very interesting.
YOU KNOW . . .
His voice echoes in her skull, and if she looks behind her she’d see the reaper himself ---- who never really makes himself known to people unless they’re already dead. Some would consider this meeting a privilege; others a curse. Death just thinks it’s the polite thing to do.
