I found a simple, free, ad-free, in-browser solar clock.
What I really want is a clock I can hang on the wall, where solar noon is always at the top, and sunrise and sunset are marked/updated to either side. But this will do.
Useful as a photographer, for a few reasons. Golden hour, for those beautifully lit shots. Phase of moon and time of rise, for daytime moon photos and (if I ever convince myself to get up in the middle of the night to sit in the cold for hours at a time) astrophotography. Etc.
You can click to see information in a few different ways, and there's a settings panel to customize the clock a fair amount.
If you don't have location services enabled, you can stick your latitude and longitude in, which, according to the privacy disclaimer, is saved on your computer and not sent to a server somewhere.
The one thing missing, for a simple photography tool, is the ability to view the information for future dates.
Anyway, I thought this was cool, so I poked around, learned it was someone's free project they gave to the world, and wanted to make a post about it.
