it might be spiteful to say this but just for a bit. what i hated the most about the mtkachuk bandwagoning and what made me stop non-ironically/ironically stanning (i’ve always been flaky) was watching gay people online yearn for whatever DL maga fantasy he represented. what if the trad dude is actually a chaotic be gay do crimes icon? which i guess comes from wanting to have access to these dudes. or like reclaim them and the fantasy they represent because the unattainability makes it so much more attractive. not ascribing anything to it since i recognize it in myself. but i saw laverne cox talk about dating a maga nypd cop and isn’t that it? you’re inhabiting the alternative reality where you are accepted by those sorts of people - the ones actively repelling you.
