Azula was sent to earth as an exile. She was kicked out of her home world by Ozai and sent to a “less advanced” planet, basically Ozai told her that the only way she’d get any of her power back was to make it home because then he’d know she has what it takes. She’s captured and dumped into a containment room so people can try to figure out what she is and why she’s here.

Sokka is mostly in charge of looking over the meteor that she arrived in but one day they try to move her or something and she has a very bad reaction to Earth’s atmosphere. Sokka is the one who realizes what’s going on and saves her. It doesn’t earn him respect from the other scientists but it does from Azula. She starts to watch him as he works and only talk when he asks a question so Sokka becomes the person she communicates with.

Azula: Why?

Sokka: Because I saw them and thought of you.

Azula: ...

Sokka: ...

6: A song you think of for this ship?

Hmmm, I think at least for my Perfection fic, "Queen" by Shawn Mendes works for the beginning of that story. But for Sokkla's overall vibe, I think maybe "her (feat. Annika Wells)" by JVKE is pretty good as well

19: An ideal free day for them would look like? What are they doing on that day?

Ok, I think in-universe, and they're already in a relationship; they'd wake up together in bed and spend a making out/having morning sex until they work up an appetite and summon some breakfast that they continue to eat in bed. Depending on any work they've had, they might send a few more loose letters and stuff that need to be caught up before going outside for a nice stroll. I think if they're in the Fire Nation, Azula would clear a few rooms and courtyards for her and Sokka to... thoroughly christen with all of the free time they have. They might also have more fun than they'd have time for, and host a competitive puzzle/game night, inviting Mai, Zuko, Ty Lee and other political friends of theirs. Naturally, the two of them kinda dominate, but everyone has a fun night regardless. Something like that.

22: A headcanon about the ship?

Hmmm, I'll try to think of something I haven't really written yet... I think I headcanon them being big on food tastings. As long as there's no threat or warning of assassination attempts, I think Sokka and Azula would spend some free nights devouring new recipes and food shipments/trades that have come in. They compensate their chefs accordingly for the late night work.
