“Then explain to me how the Abomination got your pagan magic in his soul?”

Loki shoots up from his chair and slams his hands on the table. “I still have no idea who you're talking about, Castiel!”

Castiel looks up at Loki and scrunches his face in disgust when he says, “Samuel Winchester.”

Loki falls back down into the chair, his hands still on the table.

“I didn't claim Sam Winchester,” the god says calmly and quietly all while never taking his eyes off the angel in front of him.

“Is that why it led me to you, then? Because you didn’t claim the Abomination?” Castiel questions with his head tilted to one side.

“Quit calling him the Abomination! He has a name!” Loki snaps. He pulls his hands off the table and places them on his thighs, nails digging into his sweatpants.

“A name he hasn’t earned in God’s eyes.”

It takes every single ounce of strength in Loki to not explode Castiel where he sits. Not that would kill him. It takes a lot more than that to kill an angel. It would be very cathartic at best.

Loki darkly chuckles. “A God that’s nowhere to be found?”

Castiel’s face turns furious. “You have no right to speak of God like that. He is still here.”

“Oh?’ Loki tilts his head with an amused expression. “So where is he then? Last I heard he abandoned you all.”

“Micheal says-”

“Oh so big brother tells you he’s still around and you just, what? Believe him?” Loki asks cutting Castiel off. Then, he chuckles before continuing. “You do know he’s lying to you, right?”

“Micheal would never lie,” Castiel says adamantly, his voice low. He even shakes his head which amuses Loki. He’s the definition of a blind follower if he’s ever seen one.

Loki leans back in his chair then puts his feet up on the corner of the table, crossing them at the ankles. “Uh-huh. Sure he wouldn’t.”

I decided that I liked this part enough that I was going to share it here. This is an excerpt from my 6th fic, "A visit from an annoying little asshole," in my "It's not a problem unless you make it one" series on Ao3.

The series revolves around Sam/Loki where Loki is not an archangel and is the Norse god. I mainly created it because I wanted more Sam/Loki fics with a particular vibe to it.
