softpaw is a medicine cat apprentice that didn't want to be one.. which is pretty common in the books but i decided uhhh. what if it's not a prophecy thing and her mom is just very overprotective :]c her mom was widowed and softpaw is the only surviving kit of her litter; this led algaeshore to be like "yeah im not losing this one, too" and she basically. forced softpaw into being a medicine cat instead.. (softpaw is not happy about it.. she is failing her training on purpose)

lake is a former rogue!! his group traveled a lot and that left him yearning for a sense of stability in his life. they ended up stopping near riverclan territory and lake met daybreak (who is now his mate!) lake wanted a sense of control and left his group by choice to join riverclan. his design is vaguely based off of unicorns but idk how else to explain that.. hes very pretty horse.
