ok I just NEED to share this concept with somebody. So when I was younger, my fantasy world had species of humanoid demons whose "normal" healthy look was skeletaly thin, and it was an inside joke that one character of these species in the story who looked like a slightly chubby guy to humans was actually "morbidly obese" by his species' standart. And today I thought, what if we reverse this? Imagine a species/fantasy race for whom the average well-fed look it equivalent to how a very fat human looks. Or what people consider very fat is actually "too skinny" for this species! I think a lot can be done with this conceptðŸ¤

okay, i've been sitting on this ask for a while because i wanted to do it justice with my thoughts.....
i really love this idea, that a different humanoid species has a vastly different benchmark for "thin" and "fat"...i've mostly been thinking of the idea of a human getting taken in by this species and learning their ways and obviously. gaining a ton of weight, and while they might struggle with the concept at first--it doesn't take long for them to warm to the idea of being incredibly well-fed and cared for, especially when fatness is so celebrated and aimed for with this species of humanoid.
i think i'd like to draw something with it, but i'm trying to think of ways to make the other species pretty distinct from regular humans (besides their weight hehe.) though i like the idea of them being almost indistinguishable from a distance, but the closer you get you see the actual distinguishing features along with the size difference.
lots of fun, lots to ponder in this...i will definitely be rotating this idea in my head :)
