Masks and vaccine mandates were lifted in New York City yesterday and folks couldn't be any happier.

I even celebrated by NOT waiting to see The Batman movie closer to my home but going immediately after my allergist appointment yesterday.

It's been a few years since I paid cash and received an actual movie ticket.🎟

This latest installment in a long line of previous Batman movies was EVEN darker than The Joker movie,that I left feeling a bit disturbed that I kind of liked this version the Cape Crusader.

But D.C comics never been shy of the dark and disturbed history of their characters,especially in their comic books and graphic novels,it was breath of something fresh to see them digging into their very,demented villians and heroes and their dark past.

This might just be me but there seemed to be a very heavy presence of sadomasochism in this movie,which is the combination of sadistic and masochistic elements in one person,characterized by both aggressive and submissive periods in relationships with others.

The chemistry between the actors/actresses playing the characters have to be in sync or it doesn't work.

This worked well in CSI:Crime Scene Investigation,"Leave Out All the Rest" where CSI had to investigate a homicide that appeared to have had connections to the S&M world where Gil had to turn to Lady Heather for help.

It also worked well in The Batman,Zoe Kravitz did an outstanding job as playing Cat Woman and Eartha Kitt would have been proud.

There was a LOT of this with the Riddler,so I'm not sure if the director was giving some sort of homage to Heath Ledger's character Joker (The Dark Knight) but if it was,one time would have been sufficient with the Riddler.

Only other slight issue was it was a little bit too long,but than again I haven't been to the theaters since last June (F9:The Fast Saga) so maybe movies are a bit longer these days?
