Where to start. I don’t know. Oh, wait, you must always start at the beginning. So let’s do that. 

If you didn’t know, I’m a freshman in high school. A freshman who started school online and has never been in her school building. A freshman who just got an email from her principal saying that hybrid school will start February, 8th. 

Yeah, that’s my dilemma. I have never met my teachers, never been in the school building, never been in high school. And now, I will be thrown into hybrid learning. I will only go to school on Tuesdays and Fridays and live online classes on Wednesdays. The other days will just be homework. 

I also have anxiety. So, yeah. Not fun.

As much as I dislike online school, I hate hybrid more. I’ve never done it but it sounds terrible.

In the spring of Corona,

I worked on the lawn,

and drank in the evening

then slept through the dawn.

I played with my dog

and took rambling walks,

and he rolled in the grass

and I spied on the hawks.

I washed when I wanted

and wore the same clothes,

and I listened to records

and watched all my shows.

I read without worry

and wrote every night,

and then built up the fire

and slept by its light.

I took down the life

that had sat on a shelf;

in the spring of Corona,
