Today I get to celebrate 9 years of sobriety. We live in a society of instant everything. The most important lesson I’ve learned along the way is that life is not about getting from here to there. Lots of stuff happens in between. For me, Recovery has been a process. Change takes time. Healing takes time. Forgiveness takes time. A walk in the wood does wonders for my body and my soul. I feel a deeper connection to my family and everything around.
