Alma said your name in fright, hands lifting as if that would've stopped the arrow if shot. "No! Don't!"

The other two whirled around eyes wide as they stared in surprise — having not heard your approach. The one you held the life of was frozen, trembling. His hands twitched as if wanting to grasp something, but did not move, afraid that too much movement would lead to an arrow through the skull.

"Don't. Don't." Alma pleaded, visibly relaxing when you lowered the bow, sighing deeply and resting a hand on her chest. "Oh thank God."

The time goes fast.

So'lek with his adopted daughter, Y/N. Angst!

Part 1: The very first time.

It was a normal day, really. So'lek had taken out another RDA outpost- and now, he was nearing the Tree of soulds nearby. He wanted to connect with the great mother- because right now- So'lek was in the lowest part in his life. Yes- he wanted to get revenge on the humans. He had learned the ways of the Anurai, Tipani and Tamkawi clans- but.. he was all, all alone. And it stung. His clan was gone. His family was gone. His home was gone- did he even have a home now? After getting captured by humans with a sky-people-scientist, Alexander-and escaping together, he was staing with the Resistance HQ for a bit. Did he wanted dito became a warrior? He was.. at a loss of thoughts. He was just reaching the Tree of souls- before he saw an Atokirina...

Then another. And then another.

Flying, gliding through the air flawlessly. Then.. the three Atokirina began to move. Forward. Left.. as if calling him to follow her. So'lek's curiosity was piqued- he wondered, what did the great mother had in surprise for him? He grunted softly- before he softly yet curiously followed the Atokirina.

"Mhm... where are you leading me, little Atokirina..?" He murmured- his voice cautious and calm as ever- despite the fact that he was destorying an AMP suit, and stealthly choking

A human soldier quietly, half an hour ago.But that was his life now- after the loss of his clan, his home...

And then.. as the seeds from the sacred tree kept gliding through- young So'lek met with an RDA base. There were soldiers around.. why were the sacred seeds were leading him there, all of the beauitul places ok Pandora- to the Sky people's filth? Maybe they wanted So'lek to remove it.. So'lek believed that.

He glimpsed of the small ventilation- as he finally decided- he would go inside. He crouch-walked to the vent slowly- crawling through the black, dark, dusty metal tunnels carefully. But then...

He heard a cry. A strong cry.. like wailing. Lile a Na'vi. Maybe human? He didn't know. It could be human too- So'lek never saw a human cub before- but.. this was stronger than any human could be.

A strong cry, along with the human scientists' exhausted voices.

"Jesus- why the fuck can't this baby stop crying for a second?" A female voice came- from beneath him- and So'lek quickly peeked at the empty railings on the metal ventilation ground.

It was white- almost too white room with two scients in it- one female, one male while they kept a.. Na'vi baby in the metal table, some IVs in her little arms- her tiny body flailing- the matress fabric around her dirty. Her skin was greenish and a pale blue mixed with sweat- and.. she looked small. Almost too small- why was she like, the size of So'lek's hand? Rage flailed in his chest at seeing a Na'vi baby, looking so helpless at the sky people hands- with those metal wires covering her body.

The baby cried louder- while the Male scientist spoke into the tablet in his hand.

"Subject 3.769. A female Na'vi infant. One and a half months old. has weak lungs answering to the chemical liquids meant for this experiment. Subject does not stop crying."

The female scientist just sighed in the glass room- before she injected a sedative into her tiny wrist- which the baby's crying eased- with force of the medicine as she just whined.

So'lek couldn't think. The baby he was seeing down below within the glass was apparently three months old- but too thin, too small that she almost- almost looked like a premature baby. And.. they were clearly experimenting on her! So'lek- who normally fought in stealth- couldn't handle it.

He kicked the ventilation railings with his feet and dropped into the glass with force- sending the glass to shatter everywhere. The scientists screamed- the male one pressing ona button, which made red-artificial lights come one and ugly, alarming sounds run around the base. So'lek hissed and punched the male sky people- before he choked the female one- sending them both into the ground on in an instant. He didn't care.

Not right now.

The sedated-Na'vi-baby girl just looked at him now- tears welling in her big, green eyes as she stared at him- and.. something inside So'lek broke.

This baby... looked at him like he was the only one who could save her.

So'lek just stared at the baby for a moment- frozen on the spot- not caring about the fact that alarms were ringing and red alarm lights were going off and on frantically now.

Then.. he moved forward. The baby was quiet now- judt whimpering quietly. And then.. So'lek, with trembling large fingers that was the size of her head almost- carefully freed her tiny wrist from those Ivs- and.. as if on cue- the anny let out a calm coo as if she was waiting for this moment. And then.. So'lek held her. Picked her up- carefully, careful to not jostle her small body too much...

The baby looked at him, and he looked back at her.

The tiny baby sneezed softly- before she cooed and instinctively reached for him weakly with her tiny hands- and.. before So'lek could control himself- he brought her to his chest.. where his leathee shawl was. He held her there- his heart racing as he held her and stared at her tiny face- shivering but relaxing with the warmth of his chest.

Oh...

That moment- protectiveness swelled in his chest so thick- he couldn't think for a moment.

This child... so fragile, so cruelly treated by humans- experimented for their filthy achievements- he had to protect her. He must had to.. this baby, trusting him with the will of Eywa- he couldn't express the grattitude and protectiveness he felt.

But then- he snapped out of his shock the second an RDA soldier bursted in- aiming the gun with shakymhanda and a filthy gaze as he just began to shoot aimlessly.

And So'lek acted on an instinct.

He covered her with his arms as he hissed- before he kicked the soldier away- and ran past the AMP suits so fastly- that he would even get surprised if they were not in a life-or-death sitation right now. The baby was crying weakly- and So'lek was moving like lightning. No way he'd let those filthy sky people near his baby again- he though- but then mentally got shocked at himself- his? Well- his. That baby.. he would protect her, no matter what.

Eywa had led him there. She instinvtively trusted him fully. The tiny baby...

What if she became his? What if- what if he became her father? Would that be too selfish? For a revenging warrior?

He crawl-ran through the ventilation in an unexpressible strength- while he threw the bokbs he had crafted with RDA standard darts- not even with his staff sling, but with his bare hands quickly after each spot he stepped- before he finally, finally madw our of the base.

He ran.

He ran with everything he had as the base went into explosion- it had judt happened- so unknowingly and unstealthly- so unlike him but.. he made it out. That's what mattered, right? He made them both out. That's what mattered.

As he ran- he called for his ikran, Iley- the giant creature showing instantly for his rider- but he even let out an almost nervous roar as he saw the tiny, strange, blue baby in his arms. So'lek just quickly made the bond with his ikran- before they flied- high, away. Far from there. Then- after making sure they were away- he spoke.

"Ah.. hah... Iley. We.. we have a guest now."

Iley chirped once more- confused but didn't coo further as if he noticed the baby's restleness against So'lek's chest- through their bond. And it was true- the tiny sick baby was whimpering against his chest- as if she was irritated by the cold wind. And.. So'lek swallowed with guilt by not noticing it sooner- before he pulled off his leather shawl- creating a makeshift swaddle for her as he cooed.

"Shh.. shh.. quiet, little one.. I'm here. I protect you now. Tam Tam..."

As his thoughts from earlier.. staring at that tiny, trusting face- he no longer doubted.

Eywa had given her to him.. led him to her, in the darkest point of his life- for him to save her.

He was sure.. his heart felt full now..

Because..

He had a purpose- a more, important purpose among with getting revenge back against humans for wiping our his entire clan- and this one was not deadly..

It was to protect something fragile from any danger.

............

He fled to the resistance base, firstly. This tiny baby was barely holding on- she was cold, despite the attempts of him warming up.

His daughter now.. his little one.

Because.. why was she being experimented on, within a strange region of kinglor forest- with no near clan or camp? Maybe she had parents. But.. as he looked at the eyes of hers- he could tell this baby was not from here. And even if it was- there was pollution everywhere. And. The scientists didn't mention any clan.

So..

Yes.

He had made his decision.

She was.. his daughter now. Not by blood- but bond.

Before entering the box of Resistance HQ- So'lek pulled her closer. Brought her little, hairless kuru- together with his- and.. made the bond.

Bond of the parents with child.. usually donewhen the baby was firstborn. But.. she was too little, and even if she had the bond with her real parents- she couldn't remember it.

And.. as their bond performed- the baby instantly relaxed and stared at him- with bright eyes and a barely there, curve of her lips- as she smiled toothlessly and cooed.. with warmth.
