what is Sun and Moon's current relationship and how does Sun feel about Moon?
this is a really nice rewrite by the way :D
(I can’t tell if this is directed at me, or the characters, so I’ll do both, Sun and Moon going first)
“Sun and I are… Brothers, I guess? That’s what he landed on when figuring out what we are.” - Moon “We’re brothers! I mean it’s obvious that we’re family in some sense. And Moons… He’s a… a good person…” - Sun (Sorry for the lack of a drawing)
Sun and Moons relationship… is certainly strained in many, many ways, but it’s mainly a sibling dynamic, which both are sort of forcing on the other.
And Sun cares a lot about Moon, and does this best to make sure that he takes proper care of himself. Underneath it all though, Sun is scared of what Moon would do if he looses his temper, or if Sun brings up a opposing idea, or if he tells Moon what happened that one day…
It’s really hard for Sun to stop himself from flinching whenever Moon raises his voice, or suddenly moves in his direction.

The "Chekhov's gun" principle is so widely recognized that Pete's failure to fire his rifle in this episode feels uniquely resonant. The viewer is suspended, waiting to see when and why the gun will be fired ("because it HAS TO HAPPEN"). And then it never happens. It can't happen. And we come to see that it can't happen specifically because it is Pete's gun — Pete the inadequate ad-man and failed breadwinner, who is never original or determined enough to "fire his own guns" by making meaningful, impactful choices at work or at home. Pete who only "pulls the trigger" and catches his prey in his fantasies.
