Sometimes it's nice to imagine that the universe was created by little kids. They don't know how cruel it is, they barely know what they're doing, but they know that sometimes, things look really pretty! They want so much to be really pretty, so they make bright butterflies, and neon moths, stars and galaxies in arrays of colors, nothing but scribles on paper. Sometimes they look, and they make small shapes and animals out of dots, or big Ole hills and monstrous trees for the bravest to climb, that in reality are such common and mundane things.
And then they get older, and yeah, they remember it, but they're too old for imaginary worlds. And then, the imagination gets passed in to a new group of little ones, little siblings and children, who are told tales and stories, who see new shapes and make new squiggles, who think that bees are cute and sometimes animals are scary. They see pretty in different things, too. Sometimes they like swimming, sometimes they like to float in cotton candy clouds. Some of them are scared of that, and thats fine, too!
And then they get too old, too. And the loop continues. New pretties, new scaries. New stars and colors and all of their fun shapes, and their imagination is so big! They can go anywhere there!
Maybe that's why people can get bitter when they grow up. They're too old for imaginary worlds anymore.
