I also liked Reina a lot! She seemed so strong and clever, and I'm intrigued about her backstory. (Her sister?) I know what she did was risky, but, as a woman in childcare myself, I totally would've done the same just to put a smile on my kid's face ): I liked that if you say "we'll get in trouble", she says "no, you won't get in trouble". I dunno if that was intended as foreshadowing but I thought it was neat. I also liked how you made note that she was essentially your foster mother (in practice, not in relation). Because that's such a realistic perspective for an 'orphaned' kid to have. F the King for taking her from them, lol.
