Badou has no idea when he’s unofficially become a professor of pop culture and having fun, but here he is. Maybe he should get little glasses to go with it-- no, that’d look really dumb. And he’s classy.

Either way, they’re here, there is no [redacted game] in sight, and he’s even got some snacks ready. He turns to Setsuna who sits primly on the couch, his expression grim, as he gives a sage nod.

“This film is a classic-- it’s not just a movie, it’s art. So pay attention, okay? And appreciate the music, too, those are also classics for multiple generations.”

With another look to see if she understands, or at least hears, he pops the dvd in.

It’s Shrek.

“Are you trying to figure out this odd machine? It’s... called a bike, right?”

Grimm types a bit in his phone, and pokes at the first thing that comes up.

   Since the Fibonacci Ward clearly was one of the most modern looking places here, Sou decided to start looking for a laptop there. Of course he didn’t really have a lot of the weird currency they used here, well... not that he was rich in his own world either (quite the opposite was the case, in fact) but as a former hacker, he really craved to use a keyboard again. However, before he could even find a place that did sell the things he came here for, something else caught his attention.

While staring at the confusing map plan of this place, he couldn’t help but overhear some conversation of a merchant, that seemed to try selling some antique garbage to a customer. The customer was a girl with big innocent eyes, probably naive enough to believe whatever that sketchy looking merchant was talking about. He really didn’t want to get involved... but as soon as he heard the high prices that suspicious man wanted for some (most likely) fake ‘healing stones’, Sou got annoyed enough to walk towards them.

“━━I see.  We take turns to destroy the evil ‘real estate owners’ and claim the land to distribute it fairly.”

He looks back down at the colorful board and nods in understanding.  This is what people do to pass the time in entertainment; the rules seem simple enough.  Though he still has several questions about the many components of this board game━━  for example, these tiny silver pieces used to represent oneself. 

Altair picks one up and turns it over his palm, observing it. 

There was a familiar bag in the casual grasp of a young man halfway out the door instead.

Immediately fired up, Kyrie tore off after him without a word toward the cashier. “Move aside!” they shouted once out on the sidewalk, aiming it toward anyone that might get in the way of them and their target. He looked back with the rest, and upon seeing them closing in, took off himself.

The chase was short. Kyrie’s head start on speed brought them close enough to leap high and forward, wrap their arms around his neck, and knock him off his feet with the combination of their force and weight. On his way down, he released the bag’s strap in surprise and it skidded forward ahead of them. He landed hard, following it with a round of distressed expletives.

A surreal-looking girl was the closest one to it now. Without releasing him, Kyrie said to her, “Grab that!”

After saying so, there was a brief awareness of the bag’s actual owner not being obvious here and Kyrie being the one using force. Being a bit rude in their hurry was a questionable move.

“......Please?”

“ ‘che. If you run off you’re on your own.” Sanzo tells Bleu sternly. 

Ten minutes later and the dog has grabbed Sanzo by the sleeve of his robe and is dragging him along as he runs to who-knows-where before skidding to a stop in front of someone Sanzo doesn’t know and doesn’t care to at this moment in time.

“He’s your problem now.” Sanzo informs the person as Bleu lets go of his sleeve. The monk is so not planning to stick around. If that dog drags him again he will shoot it, Kachina and Bad—no. . . . Kachina’s feelings be damned.

he speaks in a loud and CLEAR voice to not startle or shake the female. keeping his distance, he notices firstly the focus of her line of sight, one of the hundreds upon THOUSANDS of vending machines he's long since taken for granted. wonder if there's some diamond lodged inside, or if she's just UNFAMILIAR with such a thing?

The painting was so beautifully made, Eizen hardly noticed the canvas built from pulped paper and cheap dyes until a sudden bout of rain ( centered around himself ) practically dissolved it into scraps.  Nearly ten-thousand Dust drained and left pooling around his boots. 

He storms back, pushes past the forest trees, past a redheaded lady, and to the pixie who sold the ‘relic,’ clutching its remains in a fist.  Were it merely a fabrication, Eizen could have live with the fact as it was his choice to purchase.  But, to pay a steep price and then have nothing to show for ?  Now that is a problem. 

“Is this supposed to be a joke ?”  he seethes, tossing down the stained paper.  “I hope you realize there are consequences to cheating the Reaper.  Give me back the Dust, or you’ll fare worse than these scraps.”
