I always felt it was a shame Snowkit died. I mean it's obviously fucked up that they killed off the disabled kit anyway, but I think it could have been really interesting to see how a born-deaf cat would train and communicate and how the Clan would learn to accommodate them.
Anyway, he survives and is mentored by Brackenfur, and I think he'll eventually die in the Great Battle, but I'm not sure. I decided to draw baby designs for cats who canonically die as kits, just for whatever lol
Born: Forest of Secrets
First Appeared: Rising Storm (unnamed)
Died: The Last Hope, killed in the Great Battle
Mother: Speckletail
Father: Smallear
Littermate: Mistlekit (Mistlethorn)
Siblings: Goldenflower, Lionheart
Mate: Rainwhisker
Mentor: Brackenfur
Snowfeather, Mentor of Oak Colony
Snowfeather and Thornheart shared a long look, a silent conversation passing between them. The two had rarely been apart since becoming rangers, but Thornheart had been Dawnfrost's friend longer than he had been Snowfeather's mate. At last, the gray pointed molly touched her nose to his. "I am with you in spirit."
"And I carry your strength with me to battle," Thornheart answered.
The Sundown Challenge
When an outsider wants to join the Alliance, they get a trial period to train in their colony. After a time set by the colony's Captain, the outsider must perform the Sundown Challenge, a ritual which will make the cat an official member of the Alliance.
When the moon is at the highest point in the sky, the Captain gives the outsider tasks they must complete before the sun rises, otherwise they will forever be banished.
These tasks can be simple or challenging, based on what the Captain feels is fair. It might include hunting certain prey, finding specific roots, rocks, leaves, herbs, or completing an errand for the colony.
Since the moon symbolizes death and the sun symbolizes new life in the Colonies, this ritual signifies the outsider dying and being born anew into the Alliance.

"But I know, You were just like me with someone disappointed in you..."
Snowfeather
Generational trauma.
Snowfeather, Darkwhispers, eclipse, and finally eclipse's children, Nighthawk and Aurora.
The white lighting is meant to represent an end to the trauma (the generational trauma at least. Eclipse and jaystar are good parents) but Azuri_Skies plans on traumatizing nighthawk 😭😭😭 evil
