north as this lil rich boy who got himself in prison because uhhhhh his rich family went bankrupt and caught doing shady business and north had to take the fall. and he's trying to appear all tough and shit but he's just a spoiled lil pookie.

sonic on the other hand has connections to the mafia. connections which give him quite a high up position in the inmate hierarchy. and the day north comes in, he's settled in the cell next to sonic and sonic sees the silly himbo of a man trying not to cry as he hugs himself and thinks - actually i quite like this one.

basically i need to see sonic with tattoos and piercings and he deserves guns. and knives.

and a few murders under his belt. and protecting north from all of life's harshness with said knives and guns

So! North would 100% go read fanfics of him and Sonic. Before they got together. As a "joke". Maybe he'd do a reaction video of it in his channel and 'force' Sonic to read it too.

Except North is a beginner who started off reading Wattpad.

Sonic, who has known ao3 for years, is disgusted (very valid of him tbh).

He never did read any Snorth fics before (cause that's weirdd North, I don't wanna read about you fucking me, i read quality stuff!), but after reading it... he likes it so much. But the fics are notquite right, either they're too ooc, orthe authors gave too many braincells to North, or they underestimated how neither of them would ever confess so fast, or *shivers* fuck nasty in the locker rooms like Babe and Charlie.

They're all good, he loves them but... they don't really hit the spot.

Unable to find the perfect fic, Sonic is forced to write it himself.

Except North had gotten addicted to ao3 after Sonic introduced him too it, and he finds Sonic's Snorth fic (which ofc turns out to be very popular thanks to the wonderful characterisation). North is wowed... the fic is sooo well written and accurate, it's so good! He half wonders if any one in X Hunter has authored it, since it touches on certain events and habits of the North and the other members of X Hunter that an outside is not supposed to know.

But he knows no one else in X Hunter reads fics—they had all been too horrified at the thought of reacting to fanfics of themselves for North's youtube videos to ever read fics.

Then he walks into Sonic writing the fic. oop

So he has a poisoned knife hidden in his dress and all, all ready to strike, when in comes North. and Sonic really, really wants to kill him but… he's sorta cute. and stupid enough to set the entire room on fire by overturning a candelabra.
