28.04.2026, Tuesday. Spring is progressing nicely - along with my mood. The semester started pleasantly enough, but I can already feel the stress catch up. I'll be doing a lot of reading this semester, including Gogol's Dead Souls and Austen's Emma. However, I'm also trying to prioritise movement and social interactions this season. As long as the sun is out, I'll be fine.

14.12.2025, Sunday. Twisted branches and an endless supply of hot tea. Despite a lot of assignments I have to do during christmas break, I'm looking forward to it. There's just a very specific kind of happiness I get from feeling the freezing cold and fields covered in fog. (And alliterations.)
17.11.2025, Monday. Reading, studying, trying to get back into journaling after a slump. Currently reading excerpts of the Inferno again and still on track for Anna Karenina. Wronskij annoys me...
07.03.2026, Saturday. An older picture from when it was snowy. Now the light shines in on my study spot, warms me, and distracts me. Spending a lot of time with Shakespeare and Marlowe during this semester break - but also enjoyed a quick Austen detour. I read Northhanger Abbey, and am fixing to get my hands on the next book of hers (though I haven't decided between Emma or Sense and Sensibility. What do you think?) The work piles on, yet we remain hopeful.
01.11.2025, Saturday. Reading, having fun with friends, trying to get ahead of the work I have to do this semester. I've been really enjoying the focus of intersecting topics I've set myself: the weird and grotesque/the obsessive/the things that haunt us. Feels fitting for this time of year. Reading Anna Karenina every morning feels incredibly cozy. I love it and I am not even halfway through yet.

13.01.2026, Tuesday. Signing on for the new year. I keep intending to post more, but life catches up to me. I finished Anna Karenina and am now on a search to find another work that will give me a similar feeling. Also read The City & the City by China Miéville and loved it. The semester's deadlines are edging ever closer, so my new journal is filling rapidly.
23.03.2025, reading, notes, coffee. Hoping I can do a lot more work this upcoming week.
19.03.2025, messy piles of books around my room + our campus swans. Weather's been slightly worse and deadlines are approaching, but the sun and my friends are keeping me happy.
