Since I just saw the film the other night, for consideration: a Princess Mononoke AU for DemoSniper / Swordvan
Sniper is San, for obvious reasons. The man learned to survive with a new family in a very inhospitable environment and just hates humans in general.
Demo is Ashitaka. Prince of a foreign land who ends up cursed? Yeah, that tracks. Extra bonus if it’s not his arm that was cursed by the demon god, it’s his eye.
Engie is Lady Eboshi. Generally friendly and cares about people? Sure. Great with iron? Yup. Will open fire at a god if it gets him what he wants or needs? Ohhh, yes.

Mainly for the idea of Demo watching his Mum absolutely lay into Bill-bel in the middle of a political meeting and it rapidly spiraling into chaos (and being bored because this usually happens sooner in these sorts of things) and just talking to his new and unfamiliar fiancee like, “Whelp this is going down the drain. You wanna get out of here and do something else?”
And Sniper, who's been dreading this meeting since he first heard about it three days ago and is practically scratching at the door to be let out, just looks at him and says, “PLEASE.”

Medic: “Hey, Anyone want to see my medical procedures tapes?!”
Heavy: “I do!”
Scout: “No. That sounds gross.”
Spy: “That sounds tasteless.”
Pyro: *muffled noises*
Engineer: “I guess...?”
Solider: “They better have more blood than horror movies or else they won’t be worth my time!”
Medic: “What about you Sniper?”
Sniper: “I can’t tonight. I’m going to get a drink with the Demo.”
Spy: “You're going on a date?”
Sniper: “That’s none of your business!”
Scout: “Hey Sniper!”
Engineer: “Scout no.”
Sniper: “What?”
Scout: “I guess one can say...”
Engineer: “Please don’t do it.”
Pyro: *confused muffled noises*
Scout: “...you found a...”
Engineer: “Boy do you hate us all?”
Sniper: “Spit it out I don’t got all night.”
Scout: “...soul mate.”
Sniper: ...
Scout: "Eh? eh?”
Solider: *Screams and starts kicking things*
Heavy and Medic: *start laughing loudly*
Spy: “Oh god that was terrible.”
Engineer: “Now look at what you did.”
Pyro: *muffled giggle*
Sniper: “...I’m leaving right now.I won’t be back until 9:00...pm tomorrow.”
imagine sniper having demo as a drinking buddy. demo knows when sniper has had enough, and sniper goes to demo to try new brands of alcohol. not to mention its a party when theyre drunk together
