Snetzels. That is all.
nothing is better than when you’re having a rough day and then you realize that you have homemade pretzels <3
My first time making pretzels! Snails! Snetzels!

I was inspired by this post to make myself some snetzels (snail pretzels) and I have absolutely no regrets
So, making snetzles is harder than it looks...
I wanted to make the snail pretzels I saw you made some time ago but had a question regarding the shaping. You roll the dough until it's long, then roll it into the snail shape, then how do you make the eyes?
Hey there! To shape the eyes, I took some kitchen scissors and snipped the end of the dough down the middle, about 1-2 cm. A regular knife or a pizza cutter should also do the trick if you have either of those. Then I just kinda took the two halves and pinched/pulled them gently with my fingers to shape them into a more eye-like shape.Â
If you’re boiling the snetzels, it’s worth noting that they puff up in the water and might lose some definition, but the dough will still be pliable after boiling. You can reshape the eyes before putting them in the oven, but be careful, don’t burn yourself!Â
Hope this helps, and happy baking!Â
