This is Missy. She’s about a year old and FeLV+. Missy was hanging around Ofelia’s house. Ofelia contacted Cat Tales (Vacaville) to trap Missy to get her fixed and up to date on vaccines, etc. That’s when they discovered that Missy is FeLV+. With nowhere to place Missy locally in Vacaville, Ofelia reached out to us…

And the rest is history.

BLACK (& WHITE) CATS FRIDAY!

Jersey and Onyx are 1 year-old and need sponsors! SNAP Cats rescued Jersey and Onyx from Fresno, CA. Look who joined The 60% Club! That’s right, both Jersey and Onyx (siblings) came to SNAP Cats FeLV+ in April. But since they were so active and healthy, we tested them again and they tested negative! So they’re out and about in our general population.

For those who don’t know, 60% of adult cats with FeLV can naturally shed the virus, and stay virus-free for the rest of their lives. Jersey and Onyx make numbers 10 and 11 cats (out of 18) that’ve naturally shed the virus here. Congrats, kids!

If you’re looking for two of the sweetest cats ever! Cats who will welcome you into the room, constantly follow you around meowing for attention, pets and love, Jersey and Onyx are the kitties for you!

Since these siblings are bonded we’d like to see them adopted together.

Gigi is 8 years-old and sponsored by Michael Snider. SNAP Cats rescued Gigi from Palm Springs, CA. This girl is all Calico! And you know what THAT means. Sweet one minute; not so sweet the next. Age has mellowed her a bit, but she still has that edge that makes calicos, well, calicos. The perfect home? A calm, kid-free environment with a high perch and a window to watch the birds outside would be ideal. Oh, and wet food. Gigi LOVES wet food. Gotta have that! The right flavor, of course. Which varies from day to day. Of course.

WHITE-ISH CAT WEDNESDAY!

Coco’s 1 year 1 month-old and sponsored by Karen Langland. SNAP Cats rescued Coco from San Francisco, CA. Coco is extremely sweet and outgoing. She’s then first kitty to greet you when entering our FeLV+ Habitat, and hounds you for pets and attention until you leave. Coco is great with other cats, and uses the litter box 100% of the time.

Since Coco is FeLV+ she’ll need to be an only cat or with other FeLV+ kitties.

This tiny furball doesn’t have a name yet. She’s about 8 weeks-old and ataxic. This kitten was found as a stray in front of a house in Oakland, CA. She was taken to Oakland Animal Services (OAS) where they took great care of her. OAS reached out to us…

And the rest is history.

HOW SWEET IT IS!

Candy went to her (hopefully) new home with Pat and her partner. Candy’s not going far, just across Santa Rosa. She’ll be the only cat/animal in her new environment, so she’ll get all of the love and attention she deserves.

Thank you, Pat, for (hopefully) giving Candy a wonderful, new, loving home!

WHITE CAT WEDNESDAY!

Violet is 2 years 6 months-old and sponsored by Alex Huie. SNAP Cats rescued Violet from San Bernardino, CA. Violet was found in a small colony of stray cats in San Bernardino covered in mange. She was taken to a local rescue called PawLove.org, where Kimberly treated Violet for mange, got her spayed and up to date on vaccines, and that’s when they learned Violet is FIV+. Kimberly’s organization doesn’t normally adopt out cats (they help where we can with the homeless animal population and those that need them), so she reached out to us.

We think Violet will thrive in a quieter environment with fewer kitties. Right now she’s a bit skittish, but once she gets to knows you she loves pets and attention. So we’d like to find a new home for Violet ASAP.
