We've made it through the first week! Here's another #mythotober for Day 8 with Medusa. This is one of my first really angry faces in a while, but Medusa has a reason to be filled with so much fury. She was originally a normal human woman, one of Athena's priestesses, in fact. She tragically became a victim of rape by the god Posiedon, who claimed that he could not resist her beauty. Athena was furious, but couldn't take revenge on her uncle. Instead, she cursed Medusa, changing her hair to snakes and giving her a petrifying gaze.
