color her impressed, though it seems agathys is more amused by the demigod’s efforts to impress her more than anything. “you’re fattening me up, aren’t you?” she chuckles, bringing the diary into her possession. she pauses, the faint smile on her face flat-lining, then deepening into a scowl as she reads the inside of the cover, daring not to physically touch the cursed script. “where did you get this?” she accuses. “this is dangerous magic, beyond you. it’s powerful, but death is not something you should toy with, child.” she closes the journal and levitates it back to him. “i won’t read that cursed scripture to you myself, but if you have the time, and by misfortune, the interest, study the language of demons.”

agathys looks over hera’s child and smiles to herself. it’s enlightening to see how much or little the demigods inherited from their parents in terms of their mannerisms and personality. “practice more of that and you’ll be lifting much heavier things,” she chuckles and waves a hand, almost dismissively. “everyone’s got to start someplace, so why don’t you keep at that? i’ll see if i have work for you to do that doesn’t involve cleaning.”
