shouldnt you bump inactivity to a week before being taken out it seems unfair to people who have school and work
Inactivity is considered after one week of no sign of roleplaying.
To people who are preoccupied with work and school, it could be a hassle to come around during the hectic periods. We understand and we are lenient about many things, but we want some changes.
We aren’t sure if people took notice – well, indeed, some did as we have received concerns about the matter –, but the café was deserted unexpectedly. We, who take charge of this place and have the responsibilities to maintain it in order to provide the right environment for everyone and anyone who are still with us, are thinking of joining or will be joining in the near future, also weren’t around due to real life factors.
And it’s not as easy as it seems. Giving back the life of the café that there once was with a great amount of employees can’t be done without the participation of those who don’t want it to be closed down. Of course, work and school are priorities so we won’t argue on that since we also take great importance in studies and earning a living— However, we are also struggling with unpredictable inactivity.
The questions we have to ask ourselves every time are: When will they return? What is going on? Are they alright? Do they need a hiatus? Do they need an extension? When was the last time we have seen them around and interacting with others? Can they simply send an ask to tell us what is happening on their side?
Sometimes people go on hiatus for months and actually never come back. Do you believe we are not ones to get worried whenever one, two, three, and even more people apply for a job at the café, but then disappear abruptly? And what about the ones who want interactions among the staff but can’t because there is barely no one around? We are not here to tell what is right nor to tell what is wrong, but we strongly believe in decency. We have grown tired of that, so we have settled rules that would make things easier for us.
Giving exceptions have long exceeded people’s expectations apparently. We may be laid-back and kind to offer chances, but we know some who have abused of them.
Semi-hiatuses and full hiatuses are there for a reason. If you believe that you can’t really be around for a certain period of time, then please notify us about the matter and we can discuss about it.
And to those who are extremely busy with school and work lately, FIGHTING! YOU CAN DO IT! We hope things will go well on your side!
