Do you think there's gonna be a SMT 6 or they already given up on the main series
Pshhhhaaaaaaw.
If that's what you think, you better strap yourself in because it's gonna be mostly Persona from now until when Persona 6 releases (whenever that is). This has happened before! After SMT4 and Apocalypse, it was all the build up to P5. But you know what? SMT5 eventually released only a few years later (for what that's worth). If you at least look at the new Persona game as a factory for demon models that could potentially appear in SMT, it can even be kind of exciting to get Persona updates!
SMT's future is as guaranteed as it's ever been. It's a series that now crosses the million-seller mark. Just because one product sells gangbusters doesn't mean you completely ignore the other one that "only" sells extremely well.
Now Soul Hackers? Yeah, ok, they've probably given up on its "third pillar" status for sure. But if Soul Hackers has entered a phase of franchise retirement, SMT has likely entered the opposite, quasi-cursed phase: of a franchise with modest expectations attached to it. X releases every Y months to achieve a minimum of Z sales, no matter the actual quality. The modern franchise is less a farm animal to be exploited and more an interchangeable theme to an amusement park ride; imagine a roller coaster where the cars are Marvel-themed in summer and Harry Potter-themed in fall--but the track is exactly the same. This is why it's better to seek out indie games/movies or books to find experiences that will be more resonant or different. Especially as you get older and you learn that any franchise that's existed for decades eventually eats its own tail.
In Infinity Nikki came out with a mermaid outfit and I was likeā¦I want that for the Nahobinoā¦that's why I drew it⦠಄_಄ and I'm finally done and don't want anymore ā°(*°ā½Ā°*)⯠but eyyy i kinda like it! (Ā“ā½`Źā”ĘŖ)

On my Vengeance playthrough, I think I realized what really sets V-kun apart from Yuzuru and Ichiro, power-wise. It's not the power of a Nahobino, it's not the magic sword, and it's not entirely because he's the main character...
It's demon fusion.
The ability to ditch a weak or underperforming demon for a stronger one is such a basic gameplay mechanic that we take it for granted. Even games that don't have demon fusion specifically, like Persona 2's card system, at least lets you get something better if you put in time and effort.
In SMT5, the World of Shadows is only open to Nahobino, so Bethel's summoners can't fuse demons. Their only options are to recruit demons in the field, or hope that someone gives them a better one. You see this in their guest party member battles; most of their demons would have been obsolete for you ages ago. And it also doesn't help that they're not given weapons training; Yuzuru just throws battle items in his boss fight.
The Nahobino is playing a game that's balanced for him. Yuzuru and Ichiro are stuck playing a challenge run.
Compare Shin Megami Tensei IV, where Walter, Jonathan, and Isabeau were all given the same tools as Flynn. Although Flynn does the bulk of the work in practice, they're all regarded as similar in strength until the last act, and Isabeau gives a good fight on non-Neutral routes.
The Persona games from 3 onward also make fusion exclusive to the protagonist, but the other party members consistently learn new skills throughout the game. The Wild Card is their strongest fighter, but everyone else is a solid ally.
On that note, I think Ichiro struggles in the second act (and third on Creation) less because of his doubts and fears, and more because he's comparing himself to a literal god (with demon fusion) and a guy holding the leash on a demon ten to twenty levels higher than everything else. Dude at least deserves some credit for just surviving, alone and underlevelled.
