Hi, Nissa here.

You may know me as that one Moderator on Sohinki’s and Wes’ Twitch streams as well as that one chick who appeared on a few SGA videos/Prank it Fwd. I’ve been a member of the Smosh Games/Smosh/Smosh Games Alliance community for a little over 3 years now, and I was able to confidently say that the Smosh Games community was one of the warmest communities I’ve ever been a part of.

Keyword: was.

I have no idea what happened within the past few months, but every time I come back online to take a breather from my real life responsibilities I have more trouble recognizing this community. The pettiness, anger, and “shade” has become rampant, and I’m bewildered at how this even came to be. To put it bluntly, I’m sad how this community has gone downhill. I see more people tearing each other (or even tearing the Smosh/Smosh Games guys) apart than building each other up.

We're so desensitized from each other's well being since all we see is behind a screen. We just know how to judge on what we see online. Instead why don't we reach out to mutuals & really check in on them past the superficialness of social media? See how their day went, how they’re really doing, and be a support buddy for them. If we start doing that & not broadcast "shade" or "pettiness" or whatever kids call it these days, social media can be a force for good. Things happen. Life happens. But at the end of the day it's up to us to either help each other or hurt each other. It's up to you.

I truly love and care for you guys. I do.  That's why I'm not afraid to call you guys out when I see things that honestly shouldn't be happening. Besides the core group of Fam members that I have gotten very close to over the past years, I don't feel at home like I used to be. As much as I would love to, I can't change this community's heart. It's up to you guys. ESPECIALLY to you who are making it toxic in the first place.

I may be a Mod, but that's only one small aspect of my life. I’m a student. I’m an intern. I’m a friend. I’m a daughter. My life, much like yours, is multifaceted. I’m not a Moderator 100% of the time. It's not my job to constantly make sure that the community is in check.

two: why did you choose your URL?

When I first joined Tumblr, the URL I had was very different and because I decided to make my blog nothing but Smosh related content, I wanted to make sure the URL fit with what I was posting. I knew I would always be a smosher no matter how old I got and no matter where I ended up. I would be a “smosher forever.” And that’s where I got the idea. ^__^

three: what is your middle name?

Aline. I share that name with a relative of mine according to my parents.

four: if you could be any mythical creature, what would you be?

Probably a mermaid. The Little Mermaid was my favorite Disney movie growing up and just everything about a mermaid fascinated me. They are beautiful and care free.

five: favorite color?

It’s a tie between black and blue. I would say both! :D
