Find out how to use the Aeropress to make a cool and creamy iced coffee. With this method, you can make a strong but smooth coffee concentrate that is great for cooling off on a hot day.
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons coarsely ground coffee. 1/2 cup hot water. 1/2 cup ice cubes. 1-2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk adjust to taste. Optional: milk or creamer of your choice. Optional: whipped cream for garnish. Optional: chocolate or caramel syrup for drizzling.
Instructions: Place the coarsely ground coffee in the Aeropress. Heat the water to just below boiling around 200F or 93C and pour it into the Aeropress. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated. Attach the filter cap and let the coffee steep for about 1-2 minutes. While the coffee is steeping, prepare a glass with ice cubes. After steeping, press down on the Aeropress plunger to extract the coffee concentrate directly into the glass filled with ice cubes. Add sweetened condensed milk to the glass and stir to combine. Adjust the sweetness to your liking. If desired, add milk or creamer to taste. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate or caramel syrup if you want to make it extra indulgent. Stir well and enjoy your delicious iced Aeropress coffee!
