Specifically, into an army-issued jeep she had commandeered for an impromptu camping trip. Madison ran her hands through her short, brown hair. She could have gotten maimed from a crash like that. Hell, she could have died. And all that was running through this mech’s processor was his appearance. 

It made the psychic want to actually knock him out. 

He’d had dreams like this before. Sometimes, he’d even had them while he was still awake. But he’d learned, in time, to ignore them. He’d crushed Knock Out’s empty frame and dragged the pieces of Silas’s ruined body out of it’s chest himself. He couldn’t be distracted by phantoms.

Especially in times like this: finishing up the last few welds on an unconscious Vehicon while keeping them both from being noticed by the last few ragged edges of battle. So he didn’t look up.

Knock Out wasn’t even sure how he’d gotten here in the first place- he’d simply been driving along, just grateful to get out of the Nemesis for a while since Megatron and Starscream both were in a mood.

He’d probably have been called back to be yelled at- except at that moment something had lurched under him and he’d found himself… here.

Staring at the mech ahead of him, red optics wide.

He’d disposed of Breakdown’s frame himself, once he’d been rid of the disgusting organic within.

So… who was this??? Another reconstruction?

With a whirr, his servo transformed into the circular saw he favored. “What are you *doing*?” His voice shook.

Great, this was one of the lingering ones. Maybe he was asleep.

“I’m fixing this Vehicon because Bulkhead still hasn’t learned to pull. his. punches,” he snarled over his shoulder, his voice laced with frustration. He sighed, leaning back on a tactic that had dispersed hallucinations like this before.

But it was just him and Ambulon, an ex-con who he had met near the end of the war. And that was difficult to maintain a clinic with only two medics. 

No wonder he rarely got to go home and see Vortex. 

So when the red mech came in, First Aid hadn’t fully looked up from trying to gather some supplies together.
