#smart dog

These are my assholes :) they're dogs and they're assholes and they're mine and I would die for them in a heartbeat. The first one, the big white asshole, is named Fiona and she's a two-or-three year old rescue. She was in a puppy mill and has had two litters. The red next to her eye is actually from an old injury, but it's gotten a lot better since we got her a year ago! She's a Great Pyrenees Golden Retriever mix and very very loud. She was so scared and quiet when we first got her and still flinches if we move too fast by accident but she started wagging her tail only a few months after we got her!

We're pretty sure that when we got her she'd never been on a walk before and she didn't even know where to begin with stairs, but now she confidently throws her hundred pounds of dog around like the hazard she is :) :) :)

She's surprisingly calm considering everything. Although she does enjoy being a bitch to her sister, Rosie (she eats much, much slower than the food-obsessed lab and likes to pick up her bowl and bring it over to wherever Rosie is and eat right there) and we also thought she was deaf/hard of hearing for several months although it turns out she was just ignoring us.

Trained to make deliveries, take orders in English and Polish, and to close the door, Bessie, a clever police dog, is an interesting worker at the grocery store at 552 West 39th Street, November 4, 1925. She is shown here, turning in her C.O.D. money on her deliveries while her feline pal purrs a triumph.

What's going on here: Last night Mom gave Finn her pork chop bone. As soon as he got it, his eyes got all big and he immediately wedged himself into a corner where any other dog's attempt to steal it from him would be blocked off!
