Yesterday was Day 5 of online classes. All of my professors are pretty much providing us with their notes, which is helpful. Even though I am at home, it is still a pain to wake up early each morning for the video chat lectures haha
Today 6:20 pm
- one coffee and one pepsi
- one cookie and lots of sweets
- actual work done?? 😳 2/5
Maybe not the best but I'll rest for a bit and have another go at it tonight!
Motivation?
How do you guys find motivation? In a world, and an Internet, of distraction what stops you from just going to the easy stuff, the fun stuff, the distractions.
Motivation
What makes you want to? What drives you to study (or any other thing that needs doing) over other options. Is it the desire to know, to help and to teach. Is it competitive? Making sure that ass in your class doesn't get the satisfaction of having the best grade?
Or, perhaps, is it fear of disappointment?, your own, your family, teachers, friends, mentors, people you have met through studyblr?
Is it simply knowing that this is what you have to do today?
I think for myself it's some of all of these things, a little bit. But also, what else should I be doing. If I do not study I'll regret it. Everything I study is cumulative, if it's reach this year it's background knowledge next year.
Maybe regret isn't the best motivator - I'm not the best student. But I think it's better for me than fear or competition.

1st - taking pictures down the microscope is hard
2nd - we are doing abnormal white cells in this module (my test is next week 😮) so on the left we have some real funky myeloid cells. On the right we have a lot of smear cells ( aka basket cells) which indicates fragility.

Hey everybody! I'm working towards my Ph.D in astrophysics and I am in need of a telescope. As you know, there are less expensive telescopes out there, but they don't provide the advantages of what the 14 inch does. Most universities and clubs don't have this, because of the expense. My goal is to create an astronomy club that will draw in students to inspire them to explore science, astronomy, and physics from my local area of a community college and two universities. I am using ko-fi as a way to raise the funds needed for the Celestron telescope and accessories. It would be greatly appreciated if you could contribute to my goal.
