It is slow work as yet.

I first sort out how many sheets of paper I will need.  Due to some fixed requirements, this is not quite straight forward.

Next, I make a “dummy book” of scrap paper with the number of sheets and do a real time page count, allowing for the fixed requirements.  When the page count works, I write the page numbers in the dummy.

Then I go to the file and use the dummy to guide cutting and pasting to get the right page numbers paired up so that the printer will in theory print the sheets on both sides so that when it is assembled, we will have a book with pages in the right order.

We have exciting news: Goldenrod, our literary magazine showcasing minority writers in Nebraska, will be available for purchase at the end of this month! We can’t wait to share this with everyone!

Goldenrod is a 72 page literary magazine that features writers who are members of minority groups in Nebraska. The eleven authors are all people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, disabled, and/or immigrants. Each writer has a short bio at the end of the book, and we interviewed three of them for a more in depth look at their lives. The poems, short stories, essays, and pictures submitted by these writers cover a variety of topics.
