the quiet science of a healthy plant
There's something deeply satisfying about watching a plant unfurl a new leaf.
Not because it's dramatic β it isn't. It's slow and quiet and easy to miss if you're not paying attention.
But I've started to understand that each new leaf is actually a complex act of chemistry. Amino acids converting into proteins. Enzymes activating. Chlorophyll assembling itself from molecular building blocks the plant pulls from the soil and air.
I've been foliar spraying an amino acid blend called Uphar in the early mornings, before the sun gets too warm. There's something meditative about it β misting both sides of leaves while the garden is still cool and unhurried.
The plants just look... better. More themselves.
