RABIES AWARENESS ONE SHOT SAVES LIVES, VACCINATED YOUR FUR BABIES AGAINTS RABIES!

Rabies is a deadly disease, but the good news is that it is 100% preventable. That’s why we gently remind everyone about the importance of vaccination, responsible pet ownership and taking immediate action after an animal bite! Simple but life-saving steps that protect both fur parents and their fur babies. This initiative is part of our collective effort to raise awareness in communities about the risks, prevention, and treatment of rabies, with the ultimate goal of saving lives and promoting compassion for animals. The main goals of Cats of Quezon Province are to encourage every fur parent not only in Quezon Province but in different part of the Philippines to;

1️⃣ BE A RESPONSIBLE FUR PARENT Taking care of your fur babies means giving them proper love, attention, and medical care including regular vaccinations. This not only protects them but also prevents the spread of rabies in our communities.

2️⃣ ENSURE YOUR FUR BABIES ARE VACCINATED EVERY YEAR Annual anti-rabies vaccination is one of the best defenses against rabies. It gives peace of mind to fur parents and ensures the safety of both fur parents and fur babies.

3️⃣ EDUCATING PEOPLE ON RABIES PREVENTION AND THE PROPER RESPONSE TO ANIMAL BITES Knowing what to do in case of an animal bite is crucial. Immediately wash the wound with soap and water for at least 15 minutes, visit the nearest Animal Bite Center for post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and report the incident to local authorities. Quick action can make all the difference and save lives.

💉 Rabies is 100% preventable but prevention starts with each of us. Let’s do our part. Please make sure your beloved fur babies get their anti-rabies vaccine every year 🐶🐱💛💚🧡

A REMINDER FOR ALL FUR PARENTS! Do not be complacent if you are bitten or scratched by a cat or dog! No matter how small the wound is, do not ignore it. Rabies is a deadly disease commonly transmitted through the bite or even a simple scratch from a dog or cat, especially if they are not vaccinated against rabies!

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? ✅ Wash the wound with soap and running water for 10–15 minutes! ✅ Immediately consult the nearest Animal Bite Center ✅ Follow the complete anti-rabies vaccination schedule as recommended by your doctor.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? 🐾 Rabies is 100% fatal, and once symptoms appear, there is no cure and it can lead to death. 🐾 But it is also 100% preventable if treated early and vaccinated on time. 🐾 You cannot tell if an animal has rabies just by looking at it. 💉 Even if the wound doesn't look severe, still get vaccinated!

SPONSOR A SPAY/NEUTER AND SAVE LIVES

Good day to all Fur Parents! We are sincerely reaching out to you to ask for help in our mission to have four (4) Community Puspins spayed/neutered this June to July, depending on the availability of necessary funds 🐾

Here are the four (4) Community Puspins we plan to have spayed/neutered;

WILLOW – She was rescued from Iyam, where she had four kittens and one adopted kitten. Currently, her kittens are being put up for adoption. Our goal is to have her spayed to ensure a healthier life for her, especially if she has to be returned to her original location in Iyam should no one adopt her.

BING – She is a recent rescue from Ibabang Dupay. She has three kittens for whom we are currently looking for responsible Fur Parents. We also want to have her spayed so she won't have more litters and can live a better and healthier life.

ARIANA – She is a new Community Puspin found in the same area where Willow was rescued. We plan to have her spayed before she gets pregnant to avoid additional burden for her caretakers and to ensure her health.

CITO – He is another new Community Puspin found in the same area as Ariana and Willow. Although he is a male cat, we still want to have him neutered to prevent him from impregnating other female Puspins in the area.

Once again, we ask for your support in making this mission a reality. With your help, these Puspins can live better and healthier lives 💛

Every year, thousands of cats and kittens are abandoned or left to roam the streets, hoping to find someone willing to give them a second chance at a better life.
