Decadent Slide Hill goodness, an absolute perfection in Syrah representation from Edna Valley in SLOco. This is across the street from Alban at the far southern end of Edna Valley, where the fog stacks up late into the morning and far into October. A true cool-climate designation with a vast spectrum of winemakers sourcing: from cool and clean early pickers to full round flabby also-rans of Paso bling-bros. Fruit on 11, dusty peach and honey drizzles over a package rife with tannin and a mild sort of briar.
