Taking care of student council duties took up a lot of time, not that Yuki was complaining. Checking things in the morning before class and after school to make sure clubs were running smoothly and if they needed anything. It was kind of tedious, but it had to be done. 

"....is that even a saying?"

          Sometimes it seemed too hopeful to wish for a calm night, but it seemed near impossible not to. With the stars glimmering up over their heads, a crisp breeze in the air, and laughter being shared amongst friends around a fire it was hard not to relax. For once it felt like the atmosphere was breathable and he had every intention to take advantage of the moment.

          Plucking a pastry from the basket one of the Shepherds had packed, he walks over to his newest ally. He takes a seat beside them on the hard ground before draping his arms overtop of his knees. Working on pulling the treat into two, he then holds out a half for Noctis.

It hadn’t been since they were children did they meet, twelve years ago when Noctis had been revealed as the next Oracle at only five years of age, one of the youngest revelations in history. Though it had been risky to travel to his Lucis, they’d paid for it, dearly--when her mother had been ruthlessly slaughtered just outside of Fenestala Manor, and her father so recently when he’d launched the attack on Lucis. There was so much to regret, but that was all in the past now. The meeting place was the square just outside of the Leville, the spray of the fountain forgiving some of the brutal heat. 

Cloud wasn’t sure but this person, looked a lot like Noctis. It had been so long, since he’d seen him or any of the other’s. Instead of calling out to him, he simply went up to him. “Excuse me but... you, look a lot like someone I used to know. You wouldn’t happen to be from Insomnia, would you?” 

“babe no–”

Reaches down and picks up an albino one, “Because they looked cramped and lonely.”

Somnus sighed, ruffling his hair. Goodness.
