Our Tomatoes 🍅 In 2016, my then girlfriend who now I can happily call my wife, @pineapple.yogi and I were sitting in our Brooklyn studio apartment chatting about how we can make a positive impact in this world - you know, the typical Sunday afternoon conversation haha. But, this time around we were curious enough to fire up the @google machine, type in “how to change world”, and pressed enter. The first page that popped up was @huffpost ‘s “7 Ways You Can Change the World” and one way in particular stood out to us, “Be a Good Neighbor.” The article highlighted how this man offered his extra seedlings to his neighbor every year in hopes to inspire them to grow some of their own food and thereby slightly reducing their environment impact. I guess it stood out because we were trying to figure out how we can achieve every item on the list and for this one in particular we needed a garden. Then it hit us, we also wanted to inspire our neighbors/people to do good for society and for themselves and running and yoga are the tomatoes we can share with them in hopes that they can grow their own routine. It might sound like a reach, but we truly believe it and even went as far as kick starting a program to help residents of residential buildings get fit. We called the project, @towerfitnessnyc . Just a few months into this project, we recognized that we needed to be the best running coach (shoutout to @coachcane for allow me to coach for him at @citycoachms . I’m forever grateful for you.) and yoga teacher and not the best event planners. So, we decided to stop working on it and instead immerse ourselves in coaching running and teaching yoga. Today, three years later we are so happy to have coached hundreds of people to start running and run their best marathons and taught hundreds of students mobility, self love, and mindset. Seeing our athletes and students achieving their sport and life goals brings us so much joy and keeps us smiling all the way until bedtime because we can’t wait to go back into the garden tomorrow 🍅 _ #yogateacher #runningcoach #husbandandwife #sleepfuels #tomatoes (at Brooklyn, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDPn_gKnJBu/?igshid=10p8zvsl13igm
