Put a “║” in my inbox for my muse being thrown into a jail-cell with yours.
Why he helped the kid, he had no idea. All he knew now was that he was locked in a cell in the very place he’d worked in for so long, C3. Mahiru was placed in the cell directly next to his own, because both of them had attempted to get into the control room and turn the cameras off, though they were almost immediately caught by guards around the area.
Shuuhei cursed silently to himself. Why had he let the little punk talk him into this? Why did he even agree? He told himself it was because he knew it was the right thing to do, but was it really, if it ended him up in a jail cell like this? Had he said no, this would have never happened. He he just stuck to his job and done what he was supposed to do, he wouldn’t be sitting in this filthy cell right now with nothing to do other than sit and wait.
He leans back against the wall behind him, pushing his glasses further up onto his nose before glancing down at his C3 jacket, having the slight urge to remove it.
He wasn’t going to need it anymore, was he?
“I shouldn’t have helped you,” Shuuhei murmurs, keeping his gaze forward, rather than glancing over at the boy in the cell next to him. Stupid, stupid, stupid. “It was obvious it wasn’t going to work. It was a foolish plan, and a foolish idea. I don’t know why I even...” He brings his hands up to his head, pushing his fingers into his hair and bringing his knees up to his chest, resting his elbows on top of them, lowering his voice to an almost whisper.
“What am I supposed to do now...?”
