do you have any headcannons about the swapforce cores?
Im going to show three for each Core (warning: Most of these answers will be created as I respond to this ask)
Part 1:
Grim Creeper:
Grim is literally cursed to ruin any food he attempts to create. His husband, Ghost Roaster, is trying to help him reverse it with little success.
Grim Creeper and Roller Brawl have been best friends since they were teenagers. They actually dated at one point, but decided that they were better off as friends.
His Twin brother is a villain named Core Blight, but Grim doesn't like to talk about him very much.
Roller Brawl:
She and her brothers are orphans who lost their parents when Roller was six. She doesn't remember them very well, but her brothers say that she looks like their dad and has their mother's personality.
Roller Brawl and her brothers have somewhat switched roles now that she has them back. She's grown quite protective of them and visits and/or calls them very frequently, and her brothers have realized that she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself, just like their mom.
Before the skylanders were sent to Earth, Roller was quite promiscuous and had very few meaningful romantic relationships. Now though, she has noticably calmed down in this respect. It's speculated to be because she's developing real feelings for someone, but that's just a rumor...
Star Strike:
She's actually somewhat grateful to Kaos for bringing her to Skylands, because it means that she can be with the man she loves (Astroblast) without having to worry about either of them being ostracized or killed for loving each other. She just wishes the guy who brought her here wasn't an evil asshole.
Hoot Loop is Star Strike's mentor (hence why both have enchanted forms) and adoptive father, as Star Strike doesn't have a good relationship with her living mother, Madera.
Her other mother, Carina, was a Light elemental, which is why Star Strike's magic has so many similarities to the Light element. Star Strike still misses her.
Dune Bug:
Dune Bug is incapable of returning to his home, for he didn't actually bury it. He sent it to another dimension. That said, he will take this secret to his grave, in hopes that his people will be safe, wherever they are.
On a happier note, he and Scorp have started dating, much to everyone's surprise(including theirs). It was pretty strained at first, but the two of them have somehow managed to become quite close despite their differences.
Dune Bug is best friends with Deja Vu, and the two of them often spend hours talking about the differences in how they utilize the same element/how they developed their powers(much to Scorp's jealousy)
Scorp:
As stated above, dating Dune Bug and is a jealous boyfriend, but he's working to become better at that.
With Dune's encouragement, Scorp has started to repair his friendship with Smash Hit, which started with the Warsupial crying hysterically the moment Scorp made the offer because he was potentially getting his friend back, which Scorp may or may not still feel bad about.
Now that he's in healthier environment, Scorp has realized that his home island is extremely emotionally toxic and doesn't wish to move back to his hometown. He still loves Stingball though, even if he now knows that most none-Earth elemental's can't play it with him.
Slobber Tooth:
Slobber is essentially Ghost Roaster's taste test dummy, for Wrecking Ball is even crazier than the ghoul. He's also the one Grim Creeper turns to when his dishes fail and the reaper doesn't want to throw it away.
A few other members of his race have awoken from their slumber, and Slobber Tooth has made it his personal mission to help them adjust to the modern world...And also what is socially acceptable to eat, for they may have tried targeting mabu at first.
Slobber is best friends with Scratch, and has often helped her collect rare gems that she normally can't access on her own(though he sometimes finds himself eating some of them before he can reach her).
Scratch:
Despite being popular in with most people in her city, Scratch's father doesn't approve of her love of cave diving, since he sees it as an activity beneath an Air elemental.
Scratch's armor is technically stolen property, but the ruler of her city allowed her to keep it because it's powers can only be activated by someone who is worthy.
She and Flashwing are good friends, and it's because of Scratch that Flashwing has improved herself as a person. Scratch has also developed a bit of a crush on the dragon, but she's waiting to see if her feelings get any deeper before doing anything about it.
Pop Thorn:
Emotional cactus. Like to an extreme. Like to the point that even Cynder thinks that Pop should lighten up. He has very few friends and he prefers it that way. That said, he's very loyal to the people who have managed to see past his thorny exterior and is known to launch himself directly into harms way for them.
NEVER. EVER. EVER CALL HIM CUTE. He will LITERALLY shove SEVERAL WIND TRAPS (ie spiky mines) UP YOUR ASS DO NOT DO IT. Unless you're actually his friend, in which case he will snap at you but not eviscerate your lower half.
Has somehow become best friends with Bash. It used to be on sight with Flashwing when she was mean to the flightless dragon. He still doesn't get along with her after what she did.
Rip Tide:
For the longest time, only Lightning Rod was somebody Rip Tide considered a worthy opponent, until Spitfire utterly destroyed him in a public tournament the Skylanders were hosting. The frogfish has since reconsidered how he views the world.
He and Punk Shock are exes. They actually have two children, Bubble Trouble and Krayken, and while Rip Tide is proud of them both and tries to be a good father, he struggles to understand his younger son, Kray.
Rip Tide and a few other skylanders known for being arrogant to a fault have been known to tail Spitfire and Spyro, since those two have a knack for balancing their cockiness out with genuine appreciation and love for their friends.
Punk Shock:
She's the primary caretaker of her and Rip Tide's sons, but she has a hard time balancing them and her career, so they often spend more time with the Swap Force, which she has grown to accept.
Punk Shock is still at odds with her family, who still want her to stay off of the battlefield, though they promise to allow her to hunt and train soldiers.
She used to suspicious of the male skylanders, since her parents always pushed her to marry either a rich man or a hero, but then they showed her respect, and she allowed herself to trust the boys a little.
