The Gamut XP - Skintones!
Back at it again. I updated and added to my old The Gamut skintones for The Gamut XP. 98 swatches, all unnaturals this time from The Gamut XP, plus 5 from the older palette, not in The Gamut XP normal pallette. I've also toned down some of the brightness on some swatches but they are still very vibrant! Generous slider range. 3 options. Human (random allowed), Fantasy (for humans, but not random), and Aliens only. Download on Patreon or SFS for free. Links under the cut. Enjoy!

I tend to hear about micro aggressions done by white people. But as a mixed girl, I get more weird stuff said by my Black family members. It feels so ridiculous and self-discriminatory.
Mainly stuff like colorism and texturism. I visited that side of the family recently and the first time a family member meets me, he touches my curly hair without asking and asks if itās real (What if it hadnāt been? Thatās a really weird thing to ask. A white person would have been corrected). And then, because heās partially blind, he asks āWhat color? Blond?ā in this horribly hopeful way.
And my grandmother does a very similar thing every time she visits me too. This Black woman stands there telling me how my hair is so pretty and comparing me to my (more Black & more African American presenting) half sisters, and this time claimed that I look like āthis one movie starā (I look nothing like; itās only the fact that I have lighter skin and curls).
And now my youngest half brother came out lighter than the others even though heās less mixed than me. And sheās comparing us and how āpeople will know those two are related. They look just alike.ā I feel bad for the kid if he darkens up as he gets older (which is likely) because she already has him on a pedestal, it seems.
And she has dark skin and textured afro hair that I donāt remember if Iāve ever seen her wear natural. I just wish she could appreciate those features the same way. Your grandkids who look more like you are equally pretty (actually my darkest skinned sister looks like an actual model, so prettier), Grandma. My white and Asian dna donāt increase my value. We can let go of the house-slave field-slave stupid propaganda you were taught by culture š
crawling out of my crypt to share with you lamatisseās lore skintones enabled for fairies. that is all thank you
Throwing my 2Ā¢ in the petmes discussion, I thought he looked like Lawrence of Arabianšššš and I blame Hollywood cuz I'm a poc I should know better smhš
Well, Lawrence's character in the movie was British, and he actually looked quite similar in real life too, but Petmes is Egyptian, so he doesn't look like that :D
The lightest skin tone any of the characters could have, including the MC, is like Narmer's, which is still a deep bronze tan over a naturally olive skin. Narmer's family is from the north of Egypt and his mother came from Crete, so he is a bit lighter skinned than for example Qenna or Petmes, who look like the average Egyptian. And then there is Tabiry, Smile, and Ebo, who came from further south, so their skin tones are naturally a lot darker.
