what are your thoughts on the skinRx lab marine moisture rich cream? i have acneic skin that's mostly under control with hormonal b.c. and the cosrx snail mucin essence, but a massive dehydration problem where my skin can't hold onto water and it's too dry to use hyaluronic acid consistently
i don’t see any issue with it, and its richness in skin-mimicking ingredients (cholesterol, fatty acids, ceramides) can help repair the compromised skin barrier that is responsible for dehydration and your inability to hold onto moisture. these ingredients, combined with emollients in the formulation (shea butter, olive oil, etc), may nourish and smooth your skin, but with acneic tendencies you have to watch out for whether they clog up your pores and lead to more breakouts.
the complexity of this product’s ingredients is a bit of a double-edged sword, really: it means it has a lot of goodness in there, but if it doesn’t work for you it makes it hard to find out which component exactly is the culprit. this can be a risky investment, so maybe you’ll want to look for a simpler cream based on NMFs or ceramides and with a shorter ingredient list, to see how your skin reacts, and then perhaps graduate to this one.
