I happen to live in a region with a lot of skiing tourism and literally every year some tourist dickheads think they know better than the staff living here their whole life. Not only that, but one of my former classmates lives even higher up on the mountains. She actually once lost her boyfriend because he was part of the avalanche rescue team. He died because some dipshits wanted an adrenaline kick!

The south side of Mt. St. Elias, located on the border of Alaska and Yukon Territory, has the longest vertical ski run in the world. From the ocean this mountain shoots up to 18,008'. Janelle Smiley, Jed Porter, and myself started from the ocean, climbed to the top, and skied about 13,000' of Harvard Route.
