(I swear, these two are my OTP AHHHHH!)

-Before Skye got her copter, she used to be a passenger in Chase’s cruiser when going for missions.

-When Skye was first adopted by Ryder, Chase was extra welcoming to her and Marshall used to tease him about liking her. He would deny it before he came to terms that he actually had feelings for her.

-When she needs to vent, she usually goes to Chase. He is a really good listener and a good shoulder to cry on.

-When she’s tired, Skye lies about not being tired but Chase can see right through her and won’t fall for it.

-Same thing applies when he suspects something is bothering her. She lies about being fine but he can see right through that something is bothering her.

-He fell first, but she fell harder.

-He is of course protective of everyone in the Paw Patrol, but with Skye he is wayyy more protective of her. He will do anything in his power to make sure she’s safe.

-Chase shows interest in getting better at Pup Pup Boogie and at least once a week, Skye gives him Pup Pup Boogie lessons. She’s impressed with how quickly he picks up.

(Hi everyone, mod here! I couldn't sleep so I decided to write this Skye and Chase one shot. It was pretty therapeutic ngl.)

I'm scared...what did you write?

(Shhhh, relax and read. It's actually a sweet hurt/comfort fic with a sweet ending.)

*GASP*

Skye woke up from a horrific dream. She was reliving what happened earlier that week. What happened was that during a rescue, she got jump scared by an eagle and it kept chasing her down. In the nightmare, it was more intense. Her helicopter crashed so she had to run until she couldn't anymore as the eagle was chasing her while she was on foot.

It kept recurring every time she went back to sleep until she couldn’t sleep anymore. In result, she barely got sleep and wasn't her usual happy self. Even when she would spend the rest of the night with Ryder.

She lied awake, whimpering. The poor pup was so scared, she didn’t want to be alone tonight. She wondered who she could stay with tonight.

She didn't want to bother Ryder again since he was also losing sleep too from Syke's constant whimpering and crying. She was able to tell. Not that it was a big deal to him, but she felt really bad so she thought of maybe spending the rest of the night with one of the pups.

Rocky? Nahhhh, she didn’t think he would help.

Zuma? Sure that could work,but she knows she probably wouldn’t get any sleep if those two kept laughing all night at an inside joke they had and just as much as she loved spending time with Zuma, she wanted to sleep.

Rubble? He was sweet and he maybe could help. She thought two other pups would be better company.

Marshall? Also great company, but he also had a lot on his plate already so she didn't want to bother him.

Chase? He’s always great company, but she also didn’t want to make him uncomfortable so she was unsure. Maybe it didn't hurt to ask because the chances are, he wouldn't mind.

Skye took her stuffed bunny (yes, she will have a stuffed bunny in this fic because mod has one right next to her) and brought it over to Chase's dog house.

Chase was sleeping peacefully and Skye was nervous about waking him up. She did so anyways by giving him a soft tap on his nose with her paw.

"Pssst," she whispered while tapping his nose. It took three attempts to wake him up and Chase woke up confused.

The German Shepard was confused as to what the Cockapoo was doing up at his dog house in the middle of the night.

"Skye? What's going on? Is everything okay?" he asked with concern while still groggy.

"I'm so sorry to wake you up, but I haven't been able to sleep and I feel bad for bothering Ryder again. Can I stay with you just for tonight?" Skye asked.

Chase was trying to process everything as he was still fully waking up.

"Wait, you haven't slept? I'm so sorry to hear that, Skye. I'm curious as to why though," Chase replied.

"Well remember that rescue we had earlier this week? When I was flying my 'copter, an eagle gave me a huge jump scare and then it kept chasing me. Ever since then, I've had nightmares about my 'copter crashing and having to run away from the eagle on foot," Skye explained, as she was almost about to cry.

Chase was shocked hearing all this. "Wow, that must be really scary. Are you sure you don't want to spend another night with Ryder? I don't think he'll mind as long as you're okay," Chase suggested.

"Not tonight. Maybe tomorrow night if it happens again, but I can't tonight. He's losing sleep too and I feel bad. Please, can I stay with you just for tonight?" Skye begged.

"Okay sure, if it's just for tonight," Chase replied.

"Really? Thank you so much! I hope this won't make you uncomfortable," Skye said.

"Eh, it's only for one night. Also, I'm helping a friend in need. Knowing that I'm helping a friend makes me comfortable," Chase told her with a smile.

Skye smiled back and laid next to him in his dog house, snuggling with her bunny.

Chase took a glance at her as she was finally asleep. Rocky was probably going to tease him in the morning , but he didn't want to think about that right now.

Right now, all he cared about was making sure his friend was okay.

Okay, that was actually pretty sweet.
