The Sixth Chakra: The Third Eye
The sixth chakra is also known as the ‘brow chakra’ and is located in the forehead. It’s where we see things ‘in our mind’s eye’. It’s our intuition, and the starting place for manifesting our inner visions.
The Hindu name for the brow chakra is ‘ajna’, which means ‘to perceive’ and also ‘to command’.

The brow chakra relates to the pineal gland, which is light sensitive. Where the lower chakras respond to sound, the sixth chakra resonates at a higher vibration and responds to light.
Anodea Judith comments: “In a very real sense, light is the voice of atoms and molecules, where is sound is the voice of larger structures, such as rocks, crystals, plants and humans”.
The colour of chakra six is indigo, and it’s sound is ‘Om’.
