This moment makes me so soft

Yeah, Ben and Leslie are a couple I actually end up forgetting about until I end up rewatching Parks and Rec for whatever reason and realize just how cute and wonderful they are? And then I’m obsessed with them.

It’s funny because even though they’re a grounded ship I don’t think they have a grounded chemistry, you know, like Pam and Jim, I see the two of them together and I just get a sense of a balanced chemistry, of a sort of anchoring, like contentment

and that isn’t to say I don’t get contentment with Ben and Leslie (or that Pam and Jim and other couples I consider to have a ‘grounded’ chemistry don’t have what I’m about to describe with Ben and Leslie) but with them, what I get primarily is actually a very fun and light and breezy chemistry, it’s just this boundless giddiness even in the smallest things, they have a very flirty chemistry no matter what

and that also leads to them having a low-key lusty chemistry --- and I’ve said it before, sitcom couples don’t get nearly enough credit for the sexy chemistry a lot of them have --- like whenever Leslie talks about making out with Ben or spending the night with Ben especially when she was trying to break up with him because of the campaign but couldn’t because things were so good and they were just around/on each other all the time, I believe it because when you see their kisses, it’s like .... yeaaaaah
