Gladys wouldn’t consider herself a very outgoing person but she wasn’t necessarily shy either. Her biggest problem was probably her inability to not obsess over certain things. She loved books, films, people, just about everything with a story she could look into and she knew she could take it too far. She cooped herself up discovering these stories and that was her idea of fun. Now enter the Marauders, a group of boys who have countless stories surrounding them. They easily drew her attention and she would be lying if she said she didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about them.
Maybe that was one of the reasons getting paired up on a class assignment with Sirius Black made her both giddy and nervous. He was this popular, charming and interesting boy and she was just Gladys. The Ravenclaw girl practically skipped through the corridors nonetheless, on her way to the Gryffindor Tower in hopes of finding her partner there.
When she arrived, book bag sliding off her shoulder and hands filled with extra reading material she couldn’t fit in her bag, she asked a Gryffindor passing by if they could find Sirius inside for her. There was a big smile on her face she probably looked like a fangirl waiting to confess her love but she just wanted a head start on their work. As he finally emerged from the portrait hole, she stood herself straight and showed off the books in her hands to him. “I was hoping we could start working on that History of Magic assignment Binns gave us?”
